CDL-A Flatbed Truck Driver position based in Birmingham, AL 35203.

About the Role

Run dedicated stainless-steel flatbed freight with dependable weekend home time, consistent backhaul planning, and weekly earnings of $2,000 to $2,100.

Pay

Weekly pay of $2,000 to $2,100. Qualified drivers are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Schedule & Home Time

• Home every weekend with a 34-hour reset
• Reliable work schedule supporting premium weekly earnings

Equipment

Drive assigned newer-model Kenworth T680 tractors with 2025 Extreme 48-foot flatbed trailers equipped with 12 winches, straps, and two six-foot drop tarps.

Routes & Freight

• Haul stainless-steel freight from a dedicated customer near Calvert, Alabama
• Pick up available backhaul freight to position the truck for the next outbound load
• Stay with the same trailer throughout each trip
• Freight is primarily live loaded and live unloaded
• Outbound loads include smaller stainless-steel coils and flat stainless-steel sheets
• Approximately 75% of shipments require tarping with lighter six-foot drop tarps
• Tarp pay is included within the account's overall compensation package
• Planned backhaul freight toward Alabama
• Reduced empty miles between loads

Orientation & Benefits

• Orientation is held Monday through Thursday and pays $100 per day

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license required
• Minimum one year of OTR experience within the last five years
• Minimum six months of flatbed experience
• Steel-hauling experience required
• Current coil-hauling certification required
• Experience with tarping and load securement required
• Acceptable driving record required
