CBA Aircraft Mechanic II - Scheduled Maintenance - AHTS Program - NAS Whiting Field

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on scheduled maintenance aircraft as authorized by Supervisory personnel.
• Provides guidance to Mechanic I within the work center or special work group by sharing technical knowledge to enhance accomplishment of assigned tasks.
• Affirm proper operation and use of test equipment and Ground Support Equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work center and assigned work area.
• Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations.
• Responsible for adhering to the Tool Control Program.
• Must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities and job assignment.
• Pursuant to the specific provisions of the CSA, at the discretion of management, may be requested to perform the duties of Lead.
• Monitor and assist the lin move crew when operating inside the hangar.
• Absorb responsibilities for ensuring the safety, security, inventory and preservation of Government owned and Company owned equipment.
• Performs scheduled maintenance ground turns; makes repairs and adjustments on the flightline when qualified.
• Perform other related duties within the job classification.

Qualifications

• One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
• FAA Airframes & Power Plants License (A & P)* required.
• CDQAR / CDI Certified * Aircraft Turnup Certification Flight Control Rigging Certification Hydraulic Fluid Sampling Certification Aircraft Towing Certification GSE Licensing * Physical as required by NAVAIR 3710.1Series
• Valid State Driver License Airfield Operators License
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Formal Schooling Required
