Catholic Substitute Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a part-time Substitute teacher to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom for up to 14 hours per week in Charlotte, NC. Subs are called in as needed; you may decline if unavailable on a particular day. No teaching certification or formal experience is required—training is provided. The right applicant may have experience homeschooling, parish ministry, teaching Religious Education or Catechism, teaching your own children, or teaching in a classical or private school.

Requirements

• Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and a deep love for the Catholic faith
• Living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all sacraments appropriate to your state in life
• Strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, and a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship
• Willingness to prepare for classes at home and arrive prepared to teach in a highly structured environment
• Availability to complete mandatory training videos/assessments and a background check

Schedule

• Hours are Mondays and Thursdays from 8:50 am – 4:00 pm
