Catholic Substitute Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a part-time classroom substitute to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom for up to 13 hours per week in our Pelham, New Hampshire location.

Responsibilities

• Teach in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays.
• Provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards.
• Sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Have a deep love for the Catholic faith.
• Be available for one mandatory training day on August 10, 11, or 12, 2026 (TBD).

Requirements

• No teaching certification or formal teaching experience required.
• Experience in homeschooling, ministry in a Catholic parish, teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes, teaching your own children, or teaching in a classical or private school is beneficial but not required.
• Must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to your state in life.

• A traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.

Schedule

Center hours are Mondays and Thursdays 9:00am - 3:30pm.
