Catholic Middle/High School Latin Teacher

About the role

Regina Caeli Academy (RCA) is seeking a part‑time middle/high school teacher to teach Latin in a classical and Catholic classroom at our Spring, TX location for the 2026‑2027 academic year. No teaching certification or formal teaching experience is required; RCA will provide all necessary training.

Responsibilities

• Teach Latin to middle and high school students in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays.
• Prepare for classes at home using provided lesson plans and curriculum guidelines.
• Implement classroom management according to RCA standards.
• Maintain a highly structured learning environment.
• Participate in required training sessions and background‑check procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience homeschooling, working with homeschool children, ministry in a Catholic parish, teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes, teaching your own children, or experience in a classical or private school (optional).
• Strong communication skills, good organization, and timeliness.
• A traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
• Living the Catholic faith day‑to‑day and having received all sacraments appropriate to your state in life.

Requirements

• Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• All staff must complete a clear background check and RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching.
• Attendance at three mandatory training days: August 6, 7, and 10 2026 (8 am – 5 pm; no childcare provided, nursing babies welcome).
• Willingness to follow and implement RCA lesson plans and classroom standards.
