Responsibilities
- Assists the physician in the performance of invasive advanced cardiac procedures
- Has thorough knowledge of all Cath/EP Lab Equipment and maintenance of it
- Administers direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures
- Provides direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures and provide sedation for patients
- Will serve as subject matter expert in challenging and difficult cases by providing guidance to fellow Cath lab/EP lab techs in the proper operation of equipment and procedures used in the Catheterization Laboratory
- Must be able to perform a combination of higher-level work such as Cath, EP, and/or Vascular
Qualifications
- Education:
- Graduate of Registered Nurse (RN) Required or
- Graduate of Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Required or
- Graduate of Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Required
- Work Experience: 4 years of Cath Lab Tech Experience Required
- Licenses and Certifications:
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current Georgia RN license Upon Hire Required or
- RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist RCIS or RCES Upon Hire Required or
- RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist Upon Hire Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
- ACLS Upon Hire Required
