Cath Lab CVT

About the role

The Cath Lab Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) is responsible for monitoring diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization procedures, ensuring patient safety, and assisting as a scrub technician.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy, or a minimum of five years of experience in lieu of education.
• Certifications: RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist).
• Preferred licenses: Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist or Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization procedures.
• Ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Assist in catheterization studies under supervision as a scrub technician.
