Catering/Commissary Driver (Part-Time Peak Seasonal 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM)

Responsibilities

• Verify flight documentation to ensure correct items are loaded before heading to the ramp
• Interact with Customer Service team members to identify and resolve problems
• Comply with standard operating procedures regarding driving, positioning the unit at the planes, securing the work platform, and loading and unloading carts on and off the planes

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment, take ownership of assigned catering carts and deliveries independently
• Drive and maneuver catering truck to the rear of the aircraft and raise the box of the catering truck to the aircraft
• Deliver, remove, and clear aircrafts of carts, food, beverage, essential supplies, and catering waste back and forth between the elevated box of the catering truck and the aircraft in an efficient manner
• Perform safety inspection of assigned items, including the assigned truck, at the beginning and end of the shift
• Coordinate with the manager and catering team to turn assigned planes at the same time and communicate with other departments as necessary
• Prepare soda and beverage carts, assist with preparing Personal Supply Kits
• Service international and domestic charter and scheduled flights
• Relay information to supervisor on any interruption to normally scheduled assigned service to planes and work together on solutions and alternatives
• Maintain cleanliness of workspace

Required Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills
• Able to multitask effectively
• Able to anticipate needs of coworkers and passengers in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Possess a valid driver’s license with the ability to pass a continuous driving records check
• Able to obtain and maintain an MSP SIDA badge with a CBP Seal

Preferred Qualifications

• Airline experience
• Forklift experience
• Operating a box truck with and without air brakes

Compensation

$18.50 USD per hour, Part-Time, Non-Exempt, Minneapolis, MN (onsite)

Physical Demands

• Regularly talk or hear
• Frequently stand; walk; use hands or fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Frequently push or pull carts weighing up to 200 pounds
• Frequently work at heights around fifteen (15) feet

Additional Notes

• The employee must be able to obtain an MSP SIDA Badge and customs seal
• Initial Schedule: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM any day of the week (including weekends and holidays)
• Shift availability and minimum shift requirements are subject to change due to business needs
