About The Venue
Benchmark International Arena is a multipurpose arena in Tampa, Florida, United States, used for ice hockey, basketball, arena football, concerts, and other events. Florida’s premier entertainment venue and home of the three-time Stanley Cup champion, Tampa Bay Lightning, it features unique attractions such as lightning-throwing Tesla coils, the 11,000 square-foot Budweiser Biergarten with city views, and a massive five-manual, 105-rank digital pipe organ. Benchmark International Arena consistently ranks among the best venues in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Arranges tables and decorations.
- Arranges buffet tables with food, beverage, and service items according to standards.
- Serves food and beverages to guests.
- Replaces tableware and linens as necessary.
- Observes guests to respond to additional requests.
- Recommends menu items, identifies ingredients, or explains preparation methods.
- Assists in setting up functions, including linens, dishware, glassware, and silverware.
- Thoroughly cleans location after event completion.
- Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
- Meets the company standard for excellent attendance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED strongly preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted.
- 1-2 years’ experience working in a food & beverage or customer service role.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Possess a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations.
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
- Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory.
Pay
Hourly rate of $19.00-$20.00, tip eligible.
