About the Role

The Suite Attendant plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience in our premium seating areas. With a strong focus on hospitality and attention to detail, the Suite Attendant is responsible for taking food and beverage orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to designated suite locations, and providing courteous, personalized service throughout the event. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about creating memorable experiences for guests by anticipating their needs and exceeding expectations.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $10.98 and is tip eligible.

About the Venue

From 2011 to 2013, Benchmark International Arena (AMALIE Arena) underwent more than $62 million in improvements, establishing itself as Florida’s premier entertainment venue and the home of the three-time Stanley Cup champion, Tampa Bay Lightning. The arena features unique attractions such as lightning-throwing Tesla coils, an 11,000 square-foot Budweiser Biergarten with city views, and a massive five-manual, 105-rank digital pipe organ. Consistently ranked among the best venues in the U.S., AMALIE Arena continues to set the standard for live entertainment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup of food service areas within specific suites and club areas based on pre-orders.
  • Ensure all assigned suites are set prior to the event based on communicated orders.
  • Organize and prepare events in assigned locations.
  • Assist in closing out financials per event and ensure correct billing.
  • Monitor and maintain food quality.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, upholding safety and sanitation standards, and fostering a positive atmosphere for team members and guests.
  • Monitor and enforce safe alcohol policies and procedures.
  • Maintain inventory control and fulfill product requisitions.
  • Have full knowledge of food and beverage menu items and accompaniments.
  • Serve beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, while checking IDs to verify minimum age requirements.
  • Observe guests to respond to additional requests.
  • Ensure suites have all necessary serving ware.
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
  • Meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
  • Ensure location equipment is operable and clean prior to the start of the event.
  • Recognize guests who are visibly intoxicated and take action to cut off alcohol service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food & beverage is a plus.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management, and guests to foster a positive, cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations.
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) related to POS transactions, cash reconciliation, and inventory.
