Catering Attendant/Driver - PT

Pay

Hourly pay range: $20.00 per hour.

Schedule

Work hours: approximately 7:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday‑Friday.

Key Purpose

Drive a delivery vehicle to transport prepared foods from the production kitchen to various sites according to a predetermined schedule, load and unload containers, hot carts, and utensils, ensure proper distribution, and maintain product rotation, labeling, and cleanliness of walk‑ins and food storage areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support for kitchen, front‑of‑house, and pantry deliveries.
• Perform daily, on‑time deliveries.
• Clean and maintain delivery trucks (interior and exterior) each day.
• Maintain maintenance records and delivery‑log documentation.
• Pick up and drop off product inventory.
• Keep the work area clean and safe.
• Follow workplace safety guidelines, policies, and SOPs daily.
• Follow food‑safety, HACCP, and internal audit guidelines daily.
• Deliver hot and cold food to on‑campus sites using carts and vans.
• Use proper lifting techniques when handling stock.
• Load and push a cart a short distance.
• Participate in HSEQ training and report any hazards or compliance concerns.

Requirements

• Ability to use standard kitchen equipment safely (chefs' knives, convection ovens, meat and cheese slicing machines, steamers, mandolins, grills, broilers).
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and food‑preparation techniques.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in catering and/or events.
• Knowledge of standard catering presentation techniques.
• Ability to use basic computer programs for data and menu organization; experience with Microsoft Office and Google suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification, or ability to obtain certification immediately after hire.
• Valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check (required to operate a company vehicle).
• Ability to lift at least 25 lb and stand up to 8 hours per day.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet time deadlines during peak periods.
• Capability to sit or stand for prolonged periods, stoop, kneel, bend, reach, and manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard for up to 2 hours continuously.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Work up to 8 hours per day on your feet, excluding breaks.
• Lift a minimum of 25 lb.
• Stand, sit, or remain standing for prolonged periods.
• Manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
• Stooping, kneeling, bending, and reaching are required.
• Use a computer keyboard for up to 2 hours continuously.
• Dress according to the company dress code.
