The Casual Catering Event Supervisor position is a part-time (up to 19 hours per week) casual position with no benefits. The expected salary range for this job opportunity is: $20.00-$22.00 per hour. The salary offered will vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to relevant education, training, and experience, tenure status, and other nondiscriminatory business considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and supervise service staff during events to maintain high standards of hospitality.
• Act as the primary point of contact for guests; proactively manage and resolve any customer conflicts.
• Ensure all food and beverage service is delivered in a timely, efficient manner while strictly adhering to safe food handling practices.
• Adapt to dynamic scheduling changes on short notice and uphold all policies and procedures established by management.
• Aid in the physical setup and breakdown of events, including moving tables, chairs, and banquet equipment. Maintain clean and organized event spaces, including vacuuming and post-event cleanup.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 3 years of related experience.
• Equivalent work experience in lieu of minimum education and related experience.
• Allergen Awareness Certified as required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, or be able to achieve within six months of employment.
• TIP'S Alcohol Certification in Massachusetts, or to be able to achieve within six months of employment.
• ServSafe Certification or to be able to achieve within six months of employment.
• Successful completion of required reference and background checks.
• An acceptable criminal offender records information (CORI) check.
• Successful completion of pre-employment physical and lift test.
• Valid driver's license and successful completion of Five College Risk Management driver credentialing program.
