About the role
The Rose Gaming Resort is a $480 million gaming and entertainment complex destination, located alongside I-95 in Dumfries, Virginia. Along with exciting gaming action, The Rose Gaming Resort provides a luxury hotel, eight bars and restaurants, a space for meetings and events, 50,000+ square foot gaming space and over 1,650 Historical Horse Racing machines, and over 80 acres of green space.
The Rose Gaming Resort generates an estimated $35.5 million in annual tax revenues and employs more than 500 team members. This role pays $16.50/hr.
Responsibilities
Performs all transactions presented, including verifications on loose and bundled money, coin transactions, and check cashing. Processes jackpots, cashes checks, redeems valid gaming vouchers, and redeems chips for cash.
Provides next-level guest service to internal and external guests, demonstrates #AddLife culture, and fosters an environment of support and motivation for Team Members. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information and safeguards company assets.
Handles guest financial transactions, monitors for fraud, and balances all funds under their responsibility. Prepares reconciliation reports, ensures cash inventory is well secured, and identifies valuable guests through observation and analysis.
Executes guest loyalty programs, provides services to respond to guest requirements, and accurately performs data entry tasks associated with Players Club memberships. Records and reports database information to management and maintains thorough knowledge of special events, promotions, and community events.
Resolves problems within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems beyond the scope of authority. Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities and performs duties related to stocking of inventory.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Banking and guest service experience preferred
- Proficiency with menu-driven programs required; Word and Excel preferred
- Must be able to formulate and communicate ideas
- Virginia Racing Commission License required

- Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations
- Take necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas
- Have knowledge of ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department
- Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gaming
- Report any acts of wrongdoing
