About the role
The Players Club Representative at Rosie’s Gaming Emporium – Hampton is responsible for performing verifications on loose and bundled money, coin transactions, and check cashing. They also process jackpots, cash advances, and redeem valid gaming tickets for patrons.
Responsibilities
- Verifies transactions and processes cash, checks, and gaming tickets.
- Safeguards company assets and adheres to internal control policies and procedures.
- Maintains accurate records and prepares reconciliation reports.
- Monitors for fraud and counterfeit currency.
- Identifies valuable guests and gathers information through observation and service.
- Executes guest loyalty and relationship programs.
- Accurately performs data entry tasks related to Players Club memberships.
- Reports and updates Player accounts using a Player tracking database.
- Processes OTB transactions and taxable wins as required.
- Stocks inventory and utilizes promotion systems for reprinting guest promotional materials.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Cash handling and guest service experience preferred.
- Valid Virginia Racing Commission License required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures, financial controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and cash management systems.
Qualifications
- Ability to formulate and communicate ideas.
- Physical requirements include standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- May be required to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- May work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels and potential exposure to smoke.
