Cash Accounting Representative (PRN)

About the role

Located at MERCY HOSPITAL – SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI. This PRN position schedules staff and volunteers, monitors department activity, handles large amounts of cash, and performs varied clerical and organizational duties requiring an understanding of department function and its procedures. The role carries out recurring office procedures, selects action based on established guidelines, prepares all information for financial reporting, and maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Reports to Gift Shop Manager.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High school diploma required.
• Experience: 2-3 years retail experience required.
• Other:
  • Must be proficient in Excel.
  • Requires good interpersonal skills, as well as good written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to post financial information accurately.
  • Must be able to complete reports in a timely manner and meet fiscal deadlines.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others as part of a team.
  • Must have good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize duties.
  • MUST be able to lift at least 40 lbs.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience operating cash register desirable, preferably in a retail establishment.
