Responsibilities

  • Lead, model, and mentor the development of Sanctuary Model of Care principles in case management team and the programs;
  • Supervise staff in alignment with job requirements, program and agency expectations, DHHS licensing, BAL, ORR, and COA requirements;
  • Effectively distribute case assignments in a fair and equitable manner;
  • Develop, update, and maintain the program operation manuals;
  • Promote effective operations through hiring, training, and orientation of new hires;
  • Conduct weekly individual and team supervision meetings with direct reports and interns;
  • Build and sustain a cohesive team while cultivating a positive employee morale;
  • Ensure agency policies and procedures are enforced through employee evaluations, conference request, time sheets, and reimbursement vouchers;
  • Manage employee vacation scheduling to ensure adequate coverage for program service needs;
  • Ensure integration of case management personnel with treatment team outcome and therapeutic needs;
  • Stay up to date on current industry trends and theories while recommending changes in agency policies and practices when appropriate;
  • Participate in the preparation of annual budget, goals and objectives for the program;
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance positive work relationships with referral sources, state and federal agencies, volunteer and community agencies, employers, and individuals;
  • Actively participate in community forums relevant to primary job responsibilities;
  • Effectively and efficiently track all report submissions to ensure timeliness and accuracy;
  • Attend training as needed and apply newly gained knowledge to provided service;
  • Maintain an awareness of current trends, theories, state licensing regulations, legislation and practices through the review of professional journals and literature, participation in relevant educational forums;
  • Attend project teams, local, and national meetings to enhance provision of services to populations served;
  • Receive and process intake and referrals in a timely manner;
  • Establish and maintain post residential placement options including a network of SIL homes;
  • Care for discharge and aftercare services in conjunction with Aftercare Specialist;
  • Develop community resources for youth including job placements and volunteer opportunities;
  • Participate in and ensure that on-call system meets program needs;
  • Essential job responsibilities may vary based on the specific needs of each program/department;
  • May be required or asked to participate in a Bethany sponsored event;
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in behavioral sciences, human services or social services field from an accredited college and four (4) years of progressive employment experience that demonstrates supervisory and case management experience;
  • OR Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of progressive employment experience that demonstrates supervisory and case management experience. At least one (1) year of experience managing others;
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred;
  • Active Child Welfare Certification in the state of the work location may be required;
  • Obtain and maintain the appropriate professional licensure and registration, if applicable;
  • Demonstrated ability with providing excellent clinical, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Must exhibit an ability to apply the principles of logic and critical thinking with problem solving;
  • Work well under pressure and adaptable to change;
  • Exhibit integrity and good moral character to provide appropriate care;
  • Be properly trained and licensed, as necessary;
  • Must be able to show proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases transmitted by the respiratory route: TDap or Tdap: Complete primary vaccination series. If primary vaccination series completed in childhood, one Tdap dose in adulthood.

Qualifications

  • Results of medical examination (as required by State Licensing, including results of TB tests and immunization records).
  • Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be 21 years old with a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany.
  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurance coverage.
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries.
