About the Role

The Carside Server delivers food and beverages to guests, ensuring a courteous and timely experience while adhering to Applebee’s service standards. This role supports a positive work environment aligned with company values and contributes to guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and interact with every guest to create a friendly, upbeat environment.
• Familiarize guests with the menu and provide appropriate suggestions when requested.
• Take guest orders in person or via phone and input them accurately into the POS system.
• Deliver food and beverages to guests in their vehicles or the dining room.
• Pre-bus tables, restock, and reset the working area; maintain cleanliness and comfort.
• Collect payment from customers promptly using QR codes or POS.
• Complete daily cleaning tasks and maintain a safe working environment.
• Anticipate guests' needs to enhance their experience.
• Verify accuracy and proper packaging/labels for all carside to-go orders.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to exceed guest expectations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
• Positive attitude toward teamwork and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to take initiative and communicate effectively with guests verbally or by phone.
• Flexibility to work variable schedules, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to stand for a minimum of 4 hours, bend, stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Legal age to serve alcohol.

• Ability to read, interpret, and follow documents such as contracts, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Effective verbal communication with customers and team members.
• Problem-solving skills for practical situations with limited standardization.

Physical and Mental Demands

• Frequent sitting, talking, hearing, walking, and use of hands to handle objects or operate equipment.

Work Environment

Work is primarily performed in a restaurant setting. Occasional travel to other locations may be required, either alone or with a co-worker.
