Position Summary
The Carside Server exceeds expectations by serving food and beverages to guests while accommodating the guests' needs in a courteous and timely manner following Applebee's Basic Service Steps and Carside Service Standards. The Carside Server fosters a culture aligned with the TSFR Roadmap, including Our Core Purpose, Vision, Mission and Core Values.
Essential Job Functions
- Greets guests and interacts with every guest to create a friendly upbeat work environment
- Familiarize guests with the menu and make appropriate suggestions when requested
- Take guests orders either in person or via phone and input them correctly in the POS
- Delivers food and beverages to guests either in their vehicle or in the dining room
- Pre bus table, re-stock and re-set working area and sweep to keep it clean and comfortable
- Collect payment from customers in a timely manner using the QR code or POS
- Completes daily cleaning work tasks and maintains a clean and safe working environment
- Anticipate guests' needs in order to facilitate an enjoyable experience
- Check all carside to go orders for accuracy and proper packaging and labels
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to exceed guests' expectations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking
- Good attitude toward teamwork
- Strong work ethic, with a willingness to take initiative
- Ability to communicate with guests verbally in person or over the phone
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to be mobile for a minimum of 4 hours, bend, stoop and lift up to 20 pounds
- Be of legal age to serve alcohol
Physical and Mental Requirements
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, hear, walk, use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Psychological Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to work in a team environment, handle a fast-paced environment and be flexible and willing to accept change. Must also have the ability to communicate with others, both verbally and in writing.
Work Environment: On occasion, to perform the work it may be necessary to travel in an automobile to other locations in the field either alone or accompanied by a co-worker.
