CARPENTRY ESTIMATOR

About the role

PDM Constructors is seeking a Carpentry Estimator to perform quantity take-offs using estimating software (On-screen Takeoff and Quick Bid), analyze bids, prepare cost estimates, and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs with estimating software (On-screen Takeoff and Quick Bid).
• Review and analyze bids for project specifications, price, material quality, and related items.
• Request vendor and specialty supplier pricing in a timely manner.
• Create and prepare cost estimates for projects.
• Accurately price change orders for ongoing work.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing support and seeking new opportunities.
• Collaborate professionally in cost estimating as part of sales, project management, purchasing, and production prep.
• Follow up on open estimates until awarded.
• Discuss and resolve questions with contractors prior to submission of the final estimate.
