Responsibilities

• Organize estimating activities
• Review and analyze project documents, plans, specifications, and construction documents
• Develop project conditions
• Collaborate with the Chief Estimator or Director of Preconstruction
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to gather vital information to craft accurate material and labor estimates
• Prepare and maintain cost databases
• Share insights and innovative ideas that drive project efficiency in carpentry and interiors
• Keep abreast of industry trends to ensure estimating practices set benchmarks

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in estimating competitive bid projects and conceptual budgeting
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
• Strong interpersonal communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Proficient in public speaking, coaching, and mentoring
• Ability to build relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients
• High ethical standards
• Strong technical expertise and attention to detail for accurate cost estimations
• Excellent mathematical and communication skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with construction terminology, especially in carpentry and interiors
• Strong work ethic and adaptability in fast-paced environments
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing and background check
