Responsibilities
- Organize estimating activities
- Review and analyze project documents, plans, specifications, and construction documents
- Develop project conditions
- Collaborate with the Chief Estimator or Director of Preconstruction
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to gather vital information to craft accurate material and labor estimates
- Prepare and maintain cost databases
- Share insights and innovative ideas that drive project efficiency in carpentry and interiors
- Keep abreast of industry trends to ensure estimating practices set benchmarks
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in estimating competitive bid projects and conceptual budgeting
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong interpersonal communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Proficient in public speaking, coaching, and mentoring
- Ability to build relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients
- High ethical standards
- Strong technical expertise and attention to detail for accurate cost estimations
- Excellent mathematical and communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with construction terminology, especially in carpentry and interiors
- Strong work ethic and adaptability in fast-paced environments
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing and background check
