Responsibilities

• Complete small to medium maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects (ranging from two hours to two days).
• Communicate with customers to clarify needs, manage expectations, and discuss scope of work and costs.
• Deliver exceptional service to create life-long repeat customers by following the Mr. Handyman Way.

Performance Metrics

• Customer Satisfaction (NPS): Encourage customers to complete satisfaction surveys; maintain high response and satisfaction rates.
• Revenue Target: Identify and execute additional service opportunities during jobs.
• Effective Billing Rate: Invoice appropriately, source materials, and collect payments.
• Recall Percentage: Ensure work is done correctly the first time, backed by a one-year guarantee.

Requirements

• Live within the Yukon, Oklahoma area.
• 8+ years of paid handyman experience.
• Own your own tools.
• Be insurable for driving our vehicle.
• Pass a background and driving record check.
• Able to lift 50 pounds independently.
• Able to safely work at heights and overhead for extended periods.
• Professional appearance and maintenance of company-provided vehicle.
• Strong proficiency in at least three of the following:
  • Carpentry work
  • Bathroom improvements
  • Kitchen improvements
  • Painting (interior and exterior)
  • Drywall work (minor and major repairs)
  • General plumbing and electrical (where allowed by law)
  • Floor installation and refurbishing
  • Familiarity with building codes

Skills

• Self-management (often working alone).
• Excellent customer service, including communication, requesting reviews, and collecting payments.
• Proficiency with technology and job documentation.
• Adherence to the Mr. Handyman Way process.
• Use of proper PPE and booties to protect customers’ homes.
• Alignment with company culture: respect, integrity, customer service, and fun.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.75 to $32.50 per hour, dependent on your experience as a professional handyman and proficiency in home repair and maintenance projects such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and drywall.
