Haven Home Care is hiring caregivers across 14 cities in Summit County. This is a calling for those who genuinely care about the elderly community.

What Your Day Looks Like

• You drive to someone’s home.
• You help with daily life activities such as baths, dressing, making meals, light cleaning, and running errands.
• You keep the client company.
• Most clients are older adults needing assistance to stay independent.
• The work involves physical activity, including helping people move around and being on your feet most of the day.
• You do not give medicine or handle medical tasks, which are for nurses.

What You'll Earn

• $18/hour for STNA license (active or expired).
• $16-18/hour for HHA certificate or experience, based on interview.
• $16/hour for free training pathway.
• $19-20/hour for caring for a private pay client.

What Your Day Looks Like

• Shorter shifts (2-3 hours) to 8 hours depending on client needs.
• Varied schedules based on client availability and personal limits.
• Travel between clients is paid.
• Attendance is crucial; missed shifts impact raises.

How We Verify Your Experience

We verify your experience by contacting your former employer directly to confirm dates, work history, and RN/LPN supervision. If your old employer uses a third-party verification service, we cannot use this method.

Four Ways to Get Started

• STNA (fastest): Apply with your license number, apply within 1-3 days.
• HHA certificate: Apply and take the HHA test, timeline 5-8 days.
• Experience under a licensed nurse: Apply and verify your experience, timeline 5-8 days.
• Free training: Apply, complete 32-hour online HHA training, timeline 1-2 weeks.

Compensation

• Starting at $16/hour with potential raises based on performance.
• Raises after 90 days, 1 year, and 2 years.
• Additional bonuses for referrals and private pay clients.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle with insurance covering work driving.
• Available between 6AM-8PM.
• Legal right to work in the US.
• Pass a competency test.
