About the role
Haven Home Care is hiring caregivers across 14 cities in Summit County. This is a calling for those who genuinely care about the elderly community.
What Your Day Looks Like
- You drive to someone’s home.
- You help them with daily life tasks such as baths, getting dressed, making meals, light cleaning, and running errands.
- You keep them company.
- Most clients are older adults needing assistance to stay independent.
- The work involves physical activity and being on your feet most of the day.
- If you need help performing tasks, you can discuss alternatives.
- You do not give medicine or handle medical tasks, which are handled by nurses.
Before You Apply
This work is demanding but rewarding for those with empathy and a genuine desire to support the elderly community. Consider whether you are prepared for the challenges and responsibilities involved.
What You'll Earn
- $18/hour for STNA license (active or expired).
- $16-18/hour for HHA certificate or experience, based on interview.
- $16/hour for a free training pathway.
- $19-20/hour for caring for a private pay client.
What Your Day Looks Like
- Shorter shifts (2-3 hours) to 8 hours, depending on client needs.
- Varied schedules, including weekdays and weekends.
- Travel time is compensated.
- Attendance is crucial; frequent call-offs or no-shows can impact raises and future opportunities.
How We Verify Your Experience
- We verify your experience by contacting your former employer directly.
- For HHA certificates, we require 30+ hours of experience with an RN supervisor.
- For STNAs, we require an active or expired license.
- For experience under a licensed nurse, we verify dates and RN/LPN supervision.
Four Ways to Get Started

Compensation
- Performance-based raises: 90-day review, 1-year review, and 2-year review.
- Raises based on meeting 11 criteria related to attendance, client care, staying in touch, and staying compliant.
- Bonuses for referrals and perfect attendance.
Qualifications
- Driver’s license and own vehicle with valid insurance.
- Available between 6AM-8PM.
- Legal right to work in the US.
- At least 18 years old.
