About the role

Haven Home Care is hiring caregivers across 14 cities in Summit County. This is a calling for those who genuinely care about the elderly community. The work is physically demanding, requiring you to help people move around and stay independent.

What Your Day Looks Like

• You drive to someone’s home.
• You help with daily life activities such as baths, dressing, making meals, light cleaning, and running errands.
• You keep them company.

What You'll Earn

• $18/hour for STNA license (active or expired).
• $16-18/hour for HHA certificate or experience, based on interview.
• $16/hour for free training pathway.
• $19-20/hour for caring for a private pay client.

Job Details

• 14 Cities Covered: Akron, Barberton, Copley, Cuyahoga Falls, Hartville, Hudson, Kent, New Franklin, Norton, Rootstown, Silver Lake, Stow, Tallmadge, Uniontown.
• Travel Distance and Availability: Set your limits during the phone interview and we’ll match you accordingly.
• Guaranteed Start: If you meet the requirements, you’ll start working immediately.

Pay Information

• Starting at $16/hour.
• Raises based on performance: 90-day review, 1-year review, and 2-year review.
• Extra money for referrals and perfect attendance.

How to Get Started

• Option 1: STNA (fastest) - $18/hour, active or expired license.
• Option 2: HHA certificate - $16-18/hour based on interview.
• Option 3: Experience under a licensed nurse - $16-18/hour based on interview.
• Option 4: Free training - $16/hour, no experience needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Driver’s license and own car with valid insurance.
• Available between 6AM-8PM (most work is 8AM-5PM).
• Legal right to work in the US.
• Pass background checks.
• Pass the competency test.
