Haven Home Care is hiring caregivers across 14 cities in Summit County. This is a calling for those who genuinely care about the elderly community.
What Your Day Looks Like
- You drive to someone’s home.
- You help with daily life activities such as baths, getting dressed, making meals, light cleaning, and running errands.
- You keep the client company.
- Most clients are older adults needing assistance to stay independent.
- This work involves physical activity, including helping people move around and being on your feet most of the day.
- If you need help performing tasks, you can discuss alternatives.
- You do not give medicine or handle medical tasks, which are handled by nurses.
Before You Apply

What You'll Earn
- $18/hour for STNA license (active or expired).
- $16-18/hour for HHA certificate or experience, based on interview.
- $16/hour for free training pathway.
- $19-20/hour for caring for a private pay client.
How Your Day Works
- Shift lengths vary, ranging from 2-3 hours to 8 hours.
- Most shifts involve multiple clients across different days.
- Attendance is crucial; frequent call-offs or no-shows can impact your raise.
- Flexibility is respected, but limits set during the phone interview are enforced.
Pay Structure
- Starting at $16/hour with potential raises based on performance.
- Raises occur at 90-day, 1-year, and 2-year reviews.
- Extra money for perfect attendance, referrals, and private pay clients.
Getting Started
- Option 1: STNA (fastest) — $18/hour, active or expired license.
- Option 2: HHA certificate — $16-18/hour based on interview.
- Option 3: Experience under a licensed nurse — $16-18/hour based on interview.
- Option 4: Free training — $16/hour, no experience needed.
Important Information
- Ohio law requires Home Health Aides to pass a competency test.
- Identity and work authorization verification required.
- No PTO, 401k, or health insurance provided.
