About the role

Haven Home Care is hiring caregivers across 14 cities in Summit County. This is a calling for those who genuinely care about the elderly community.

What Your Day Looks Like

• You drive to someone’s home.
• You help with daily life activities such as baths, getting dressed, making meals, light cleaning, and running errands.
• You keep them company.
• Most clients are older adults needing assistance to stay independent.
• This work involves physical labor, including helping people move around and being on your feet most of the day.
• If you need help with tasks, you can discuss solutions with your employer.
• You do not give medicine or handle medical tasks, which are handled by nurses.

Before You Apply

This work is demanding and requires someone who truly cares about the elderly community. Those who quit frequently or miss shifts can negatively impact clients who rely on you.

What You'll Earn

• $18/hour for STNA license (active or expired).
• $16-18/hour for HHA certificate or experience, based on interview.
• $16/hour for a free training pathway.
• $19-20/hour for caring for a private pay client.

How Your Day Works

• Shift lengths vary from 2-3 hours to 8 hours, depending on the client’s needs.
• Most shifts are spread across different days.
• Travel limits and preferences are respected.

The Guarantee

Guaranteed placement if you meet the requirements and can travel to any Haven Home Care location. You will start working immediately once matched with a client.

Pay and Benefits

• Starting at $16/hour with potential raises based on performance.

How to Get Started

• Option 1: STNA (fastest) — $18/hour, active or expired license.
• Option 2: HHA certificate — $16-18/hour, 30+ hours certified by RN.
• Option 3: Experienced under a licensed nurse — $16-18/hour, 1+ year experience.
• Option 4: Free training — $16/hour, no experience required.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to help people.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own a reliable vehicle with insurance covering work driving.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to work at least 20 hours/week between 6AM-8PM.
• Must have legal right to work in the US.
