Caregiver / Direct Support Professional

Job Responsibilities

• Aid in implementing health and safety procedures
• Support people supported development
• Facilitate person supported community life
• Provide support to team members and supervisors
• Implement person-centered plans and outcomes
• Aid with medical requests
• Aid with data collection and reporting

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid drivers’ license
• Physical requirements to perform essential functions of the job included

Pre-Employment Screening

• Criminal background check
• Name checked in registries (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
• Drug testing
• Educational verification and other credentialing based on position requirements
• Proof of employment history or references (if required)
• Driving requirements: proof of driver's license, insurance, and vehicle (if required)
