Caregiver / Direct Support Professional

About the role

ResCare Community Living, a part of the Sevita family, provides quality services that empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live more independently at home and in their community. You’ll assist people with personal hygiene and support individuals who can have behavioral challenges and other complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Help people grow, learn, and live well through rewarding work
• Develop meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve
• Support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition
• Take initiative to help participants be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities
• Provide person-centered services that build skills and overcome challenges

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and ability to verify at least one year of active driving history (if current license was issued less than one year ago, provide a motor vehicle record, previous license, or other acceptable documentation)
• Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination (preferred)

Friday–Monday, 2 pm – 10 pm

Pay

$17.11 per hour. Union dues: 0.5% per paycheck.
