Career Specialist - R.E. Davis College Prep

Qualifications

• Hold a current and valid Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) certificate.
• Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related area from a regionally accredited college or university.
• At least two years of experience working with adolescents in the public school setting is desired.
• Proficient with use of Internet and Microsoft Office.

Rate of Pay

• Based upon credentials and experience in accordance with the district-approved pay schedule

Performance Responsibilities

• Aid schools in promoting quality career development of students.
• Aid school counselors and students in identifying and accessing career information and resource material.
• Provide educators, parents, and students with information on career and technology education programs offered in the district.
• Support students in exploring career clusters and selecting an area of academic focus within a cluster of study.
• Aid with the selection, administration, and evaluation of career interest inventories.
• Coordinate and provide appropriate community resources representing various occupations in career development activities for parents, teachers, and students.
• Aid with the usage of computer-assisted career guidance systems.
• Work with others consistently in a cooperative and respectful manner.

Evaluation

• Performance will be evaluated in accordance with provision of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
