Program Overview
Career Launch is a workforce development program aimed at helping individuals start their health care careers. It offers various tracks such as Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nursing, Electroencephalogram Technologist, Bachelor Degree in Nursing, Registered Respiratory Therapist, Certified Surgical Technologist, Radiography, Mental Health Counseling Trainee, Cardiac Sonography, and Police Officer. Two options are available: Traditional Career Launch and Career Launch Plus.
Program Options
Traditional Career Launch: Full-time, part-time, or PRN positions at Akron Children's while attending school part-time. Graduates commit to working for two years.
Career Launch Plus: Full-time school attendance with up to fifteen hours of paid professional development time monthly. Graduates commit to working for three years.

After graduation, Career Launch helps employees transition into their selected field of study to complete a work commitment and utilize their new skills.
