About the role
This Care Partner position is for a Certified Nursing Assistant primarily responsible for providing direct care for assigned patients under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. A care partner/CNA receives direction from a licensed nurse to assist patients with their needs and tasks.
Responsibilities
- Take and record patient vitals
- Help patients with daily tasks, including getting dressed and using the restroom
- Monitor patient progress and maintain health records
- Foster strong relationships with patients and make them feel comfortable
- Aid communication between patients and healthcare teams
- Communicate with the patient's family
- Help patients plan for hospital discharge
Requirements
- Licensure by the State of Tennessee as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- BLS certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent
