About the role
The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader in senior care, ensuring high‑quality, consistent resident support while coaching and mentoring the caregiving team. The role involves managing shift assignments, monitoring resident changes, promoting safety and compliance, providing hands‑on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), reviewing documentation to align with individualized care plans, and communicating concerns promptly.
Responsibilities
- Serve as shift leader and ensure high‑quality resident support.
- Coach, mentor, and model professionalism for the caregiving team.
- Manage shift assignments and monitor resident condition changes.
- Promote safety and regulatory compliance.
- Provide hands‑on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Review documentation to align with individualized care plans.
- Communicate resident concerns promptly to appropriate staff.
- Onboard new team members and support team development.
- Model compassionate service and a positive environment for residents and staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current CPR certification.
- Current First Aid certification.
- Medication Administration certification.
- Prior experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care.
