Care Manager – Senior Living
Role Overview
The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader responsible for ensuring high-quality, consistent resident care while supporting and coaching the caregiving team. This role involves supervising shift assignments, managing attendance, providing hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADL), reviewing charting to align with Individualized Service Plans (ISP), monitoring resident changes, and communicating concerns promptly. Additionally, the Lead Caregiver supports onboarding, mentors new team members, and promotes safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead shift operations and team coordination
- Provide direct care support as needed
- Coach team members on quality standards and documentation
- Monitor resident status and communicate changes
- Support team onboarding and ensure safety and compliance
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma/GED and age 18+
- CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
- Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making abilities
- Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care
