About the role

The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader in a senior‑care environment, ensuring high‑quality, consistent resident care while mentoring and supporting the caregiving team. This role combines hands‑on caregiving with frontline leadership, exemplifying professionalism, accountability, and compassionate service.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments and manage attendance.
• Coordinate coverage to maintain staffing levels.
• Provide hands‑on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Coach caregivers on service quality, hospitality, and documentation standards.
• Review charting to ensure alignment with Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly.
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members.
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum age of 18.
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior‑care settings.
