Position Overview
The role of Lead Caregiver involves serving as a shift leader to ensure consistent, high-quality resident care in a senior living environment.
Responsibilities
- Managing shift assignments, monitoring resident changes, and providing hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADL)
- Coaching and supporting team members
- Reviewing documentation to align with individualized care plans
- Promoting safety and compliance during shift transitions
- Supporting onboarding and mentoring new staff
- Modeling professionalism, accountability, and compassionate service
Qualifications And Skills
- High School Diploma or GED, age 18+
- CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
- Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills
- Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care settings
