About the role

Blue Cross of Idaho is seeking a Support Specialist to provide outreach, support, and care coordination for members identified for clinical programs. This role also involves completing administrative tasks to support the operational tasks of clinical programs.

Responsibilities

  • Complete member outreach to educate members about the benefits of clinical program services with the goal for them to adopt or use the services.
  • Identify members' healthcare needs and provide intervention for members with care coordination needs.
  • Respond to, triage, and process clinical program referrals.
  • Cooking incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Reviewing customer eligibility and benefit structure for requested referrals or prior authorizations.
  • Entering and maintaining documentation of interactions with members, providers, or other stakeholders that meets legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
  • Managing and supporting special programs within the department.
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4 years’ administrative support within health insurance, healthcare, or health related industry.
  • A minimum of an Associates Degree in Healthcare related field; or equivalent work experience (two years’ relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college).

Qualifications

  • Experience: 4 years’ administrative support within health insurance, healthcare, or health related industry.
  • Education: Associates Degree in Healthcare related field; or equivalent work experience (Two years’ relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college).

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

A good faith estimate of the current pay range is $26.12 to $36.58. The position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus (variable depending on company and employee performance).
