Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Associate - Locum Tenens

About the role

This position is for a Physician Assistant (PA) providing cardiothoracic surgery coverage in a Level II facility. The clinician will work across inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings, fulfilling full scope clinical duties in a day shift, with additional call responsibilities including 24-hour coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical care in multiple settings
• Complete all clinical documentation using EPIC EMR
• Support a diverse patient population of all ages
• Possess prescriptive authority and work on-site with support staff, including MAs, RNs, and NP/PAs

Handle an average of 7-10 shifts per month.

Requirements

• Board certification required
• Full clinical scope of practice
• Proficiency in EPIC EMR
• Ability to work independently in a collaborative team environment
