Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Associate - Locum Tenens

About the role

This position requires a Board-Certified Physician Assistant to provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage across inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings. The clinician will handle a full scope of practice, including prescriptive authority, and complete all documentation using the EPIC EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of 7-10 shifts per month, with coverage during day shifts, call, and 24-hour call (no on-call duty required).
• Work on-site with support staff such as Medical Assistants (MAs), Registered Nurses (RNs), and Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants (NP/PAs) to ensure coordinated patient care for all ages.
• Provide quality patient care and maintain accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Board certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Prescriptive authority.
