About the Role
Seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon for inpatient and outpatient coverage in a Level I Trauma Center.
Responsibilities
- Provide cardiothoracic surgical care, including endoscopic vein harvesting, first assisting, and sternal closure
- Manage an estimated 10-20 adult patients per shift
- Handle 4-6 consults daily
- Maintain clinical documentation via EPIC EMR system
Requirements
- Minimum 4-5 years of cardiac surgery OR experience
- Proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting
- Prescriptive authority
- Experience in CVICU is preferred
Work Environment
- Day shifts with clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and hospital hours from 5:30 AM to 6:30 PM
- No call required
- Support staff includes 6.8 FTE APPs
Location & Setting
- On-site at a 633-bed facility utilizing EPIC EMR
- Provides comprehensive cardiothoracic services in inpatient and clinic settings
- Adult patient population
- Support staff available to ensure continuity of care
