Cardiology NP / PA

About the role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated advanced practice provider to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network. Join an established team of 1 physician and 1 APP. This is a consultative service only; volume varies but must be prepared to work in various areas of the hospital including critical care.

• Practice setting: consultative service across the hospital, including critical care
• Employed position within a nonprofit health system
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Advanced Practice Provider
• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care autonomously across the continuum, from the Progressive Care Unit to high-acuity Critical Care settings
• Cardiology Inpatient Hospitalist focus; no formal call schedule

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
• Nurse Practitioner specializing in Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required
• One or more of the following required:
  • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date (valid state license required)
  • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date (valid state license required)
  • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date (valid state license required)
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
• Master’s Degree in Nursing required
• 1 year of experience preferred
