Car Wash Attendant

About the role

As a Car Wash Attendant at Store 2743537 located at 3765 South Hamilton Road, Groveport, Ohio 43125, you will greet customers, explain wash options, assist at pay stations, guide vehicles into the wash tunnel, and maintain site cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and explain the wash options available.
• Stand at the pay stations and assist every customer that comes through the wash.
• Field customer inquiries.
• Guide customer vehicles into the wash tunnel.
• Upkeep the condition of the car wash by performing cleaning tasks such as taking out the garbage, sweeping the lot, and using a pressure washer to clean the wash bay.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Report to work on time and follow the dress and appearance code.

Job breakdown: 70% Customer Interaction, 20% Site Upkeep (Cleaning/Maintaining), 5% Opening/Closing Procedures, 5% Basic/Light Troubleshooting of Daily Duties.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills including active listening.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs.
• Ability to recommend different wash memberships to customers.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn a point of sales system.
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude.
• Customer service and some sales experience preferred.

Physical demands: frequently required to stand and walk throughout the workday; use of hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stop, crouch and kneel; work in damp and humid conditions; work in outdoor variable weather conditions; lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs; exposed to noise.

Working environment: must perform the job safely per standard operating procedures without endangering health or safety; typical outdoor car wash environment; noise level moderate but can be excessively loud with hearing protection required (along with other PPE); must adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment such as hearing, eye, foot, and hand protection.

Supervision: capable of performing responsibilities with minimal supervision.
