Car Wash Attendant

Location: 5163 Mahoning Ave, Austintown, Ohio 44515. Part‑time; shifts available days and evenings.

About the role

As a Car Wash Attendant you are the primary point of contact for customers at the wash tunnel. You greet guests, explain wash options, assist at pay stations, guide vehicles into the tunnel, and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the site. The role blends customer interaction (approximately 70 % of the day) with site upkeep (20 %), opening/closing procedures (5 %), and basic troubleshooting (5 %).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and explain wash options and memberships.
• Staff pay stations and assist every customer through the wash process.
• Guide customer vehicles into the wash tunnel safely.
• Maintain the car wash facility: remove trash, sweep the lot, pressure‑wash the wash bay.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Conduct basic/light troubleshooting of daily operational issues.
• Report to work on time and adhere to the dress and appearance code.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

Customer service and some sales experience preferred.

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Use of hands; reaching with hands and arms.
• Climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, and kneeling.
• Ability to work in damp, humid, and outdoor variable weather conditions.
• Regular lifting/moving of objects up to 25 lb; occasional lifting up to 50 lb.
• Exposure to noise; hearing protection required when noise levels are excessive.

Working Environment

• Typical outdoor car wash setting.
• Moderate noise levels, occasionally excessively loud (hearing protection and other PPE required).
• Must follow OSHA safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment (hearing, eye, foot, hand protection).
• Perform duties safely per standard operating procedures without endangering self or others.

Pay

Hiring range: $14.00–$14.50 per hour.
