Car Wash Attendant

Location: 1347 N Baker Street, Mcminnville, OR 97128

About the role

As a Car Wash Attendant, you will greet customers, explain wash options, assist at pay stations, guide vehicles into the wash tunnel, and maintain the facility through cleaning tasks such as trash removal, sweeping, and pressure washing. The role blends customer interaction (70%), site upkeep (20%), opening/closing procedures (5%), and basic troubleshooting (5%).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and explain wash options
• Assist every customer at pay stations
• Field customer inquiries
• Guide customer vehicles into the wash tunnel
• Perform cleaning tasks: take out garbage, sweep the lot, pressure-wash the wash bay
• Follow opening and closing procedures
• Perform basic/light troubleshooting of daily duties
• Report to work on time and adhere to dress and appearance code
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, including active listening
• Excellent sales and customer service skills
• Ability to anticipate customer needs
• Ability to recommend wash memberships
• Ability to work as a team
• Proficient computer skills with ability to learn a point-of-sale system
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude

Qualifications

Customer service and some sales experience preferred.

Physical Demands

• Frequently stand and walk throughout the workday
• Use hands; reach with hands and arms
• Climb or balance; stoop, crouch, and kneel
• Work in damp and humid conditions
• Work in outdoor variable weather conditions
• Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to noise

Working Environment

Typical outdoor car wash environment. Noise level is usually moderate but can be excessively loud; hearing protection and other PPE (eye, foot, hand protection) are required. Must adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and perform the job safely without endangering self or others.

Supervision Received

Must be capable of performing responsibilities with minimal supervision.
