Car Wash Attendant

About the role

Part-time Car Wash Attendant position at Store 2743026, 1810 Lincoln Highway, North Versailles, Pennsylvania 15137. Days and weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and explain wash options.
• Stand at pay stations and assist every customer that comes through the wash.
• Field customer inquiries.
• Guide customer vehicles into the wash tunnel.
• Perform cleaning tasks to maintain the car wash, including taking out garbage, sweeping the lot, and using a pressure washer to clean the wash bay.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Report to work on time and follow the dress and appearance code.

Job Breakdown Percentages

• 70% Customer Interaction
• 20% Site Upkeep (Cleaning/Maintaining)
• 5% Opening/Closing Procedures
• 5% Basic/Light Troubleshooting of Daily Duties

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills including active listening.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs.
• Ability to recommend different wash memberships to customers.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn a point of sales system.
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude.
• Customer service and some sales experience preferred.

• Frequently required to stand and walk throughout the workday.

Working Environment

The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others. This position works in a typical outdoor car wash environment. The noise level is usually moderate but can be excessively loud with hearing protection required (along with other PPE). This person must adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and protocols which means this person will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as, but not limited to hearing, eye, foot, and hand protection.

Supervision Received

The team member must be capable of performing their responsibilities with minimal supervision.
