Car Wash Attendant

About the role

This full-time Car Wash Attendant position is based at 13120 Balm Riverview Rd, Riverview, Florida 33585. The role involves greeting customers, explaining wash options, guiding vehicles into the tunnel, and maintaining site cleanliness. Flexible shift availability includes days, evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and explain available wash options
• Stand at pay stations and assist every customer coming through the wash
• Field customer inquiries
• Guide customer vehicles into the wash tunnel
• Perform cleaning tasks including taking out garbage, sweeping the lot, and using a pressure washer to clean the wash bay
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Report to work on time and follow the dress and appearance code

Duties breakdown

• 70% Customer Interaction
• 20% Site Upkeep (Cleaning/Maintaining)
• 5% Opening/Closing Procedures
• 5% Basic/Light Troubleshooting of Daily Duties

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills including active listening
• Excellent sales and customer service skills
• Ability to anticipate customer needs
• Ability to recommend different wash memberships to customers
• Ability to work as a team
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn a point of sales system
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude
• Customer service and some sales experience preferred

Physical demands

• Frequently required to stand and walk throughout the workday
• Use of hands; reach with hands and arms
• Climb or balance; stoop, crouch, and kneel
• Ability to work in damp and humid conditions
• Ability to work in outdoor variable weather conditions
• May lift and/or move objects up to 25lbs on a regular basis and occasionally up to 50lbs
• Exposure to noise

Working environment

This position works in a typical outdoor car wash environment. The noise level is usually moderate but can be excessively loud with hearing protection required (along with other PPE). The team member must adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and protocols and will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment including hearing, eye, foot, and hand protection.

Supervision

The team member must be capable of performing their responsibilities with minimal supervision.
