Car Wash Attendant

About the role

Responsibilities

• Guide customers onto the conveyor using hand signals (we do not wash, dry, or detail vehicles by hand).
• Take customer orders for Unlimited Memberships and sell them within 15-30 seconds.
• Learn Ducky’s at Chevron Wash Core Values and Service Menu prior to the first shift (compensated at hourly rate; bonus paid per membership sold).
• Maintain a positive attitude and interact professionally with employees and customers.
• Clean and maintain the car wash site and equipment.
• Assist guests with questions on pricing, services, and awareness.
• Guide customers into the car wash tunnel.
• Sell additional services and unlimited memberships.
• Maintain and stock chemicals and equipment.
• Assist customers with processing transactions.
• Maintain a safe environment on-site while working with others.
• Ensure site appearance and cleanliness (especially bathrooms) impresses customers.
• Educate customers on services by proactively explaining features and benefits.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for management positions).
• Sufficient proficiency in English to understand policies, safety training, and job instructions, and to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Demonstrated ability to be a motivated and cooperative teammate with confidence in work processes and goals.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including active listening and clear communication.
• Detail-oriented and organized to maintain a clean and inviting site.
• Resilient, consistent, and proactive in engaging with every customer as a new opportunity.
• Ability to remain active and engaged throughout the shift.
• Maintain professionalism in dress, demeanor, and customer interactions.
• Retail and/or hospitality experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and in-force liability insurance.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods while working at a kiosk or tunnel entrance.
• Job is outdoors and repetitive.
• Must work weekends, holidays, and various hours.
• Occasional travel between adjacent Chevron Stations Inc Express Wash locations.

Pay

Compensation range: $19.25 - $19.25 per hour.
