Campus Technology Services Engineer

About the role

Grand Canyon University (GCU) is one of Arizona's leading institutions of higher learning, located in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona. The Campus Technology Service Engineer supports campus operations by providing technical support for audio, video, and point-of-sale equipment.

Responsibilities

• Tests integrated audio, visual, and point of sale systems and performs troubleshooting when required.
• Affords assistance to the Audio-Visual Supervisor with projects and system commissioning.
• Supports end users with training and system setup for presentations and general use, including large meeting spaces.
• Conducts testing, firmware updates, and maintenance on Audio Visual systems and components.
• Reads and builds single line drawings for projects in AutoCAD.
• Integrates and learns other connecting IP technology and systems as they relate to Audio, Visual, and Point of Sale systems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience with AV systems and basic technology troubleshooting.
• Proficient understanding of audio and video signals.
• Knowledge of Audio DSP layout and programming.
• PC knowledge including communication methods between PC and Devices.
• Ability to integrate and learn other connecting IP technology and systems as they relate to Audio, Visual, and Point of Sale systems.
