Campus Operations & Transportation Specialist

Safety and Service

• Safely transport students, staff, faculty, and guests according to assigned shuttle schedules and routes.
• Arrive at designated collection points prior to scheduled departure times.
• Adhere to passenger capacity limits and all traffic and safety regulations.
• Ensure shuttle vehicles are clean, fueled, and properly maintained.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with passengers and campus community members.

During Reduced Shuttle Operations

• Assist with campus customer service functions and front desk support.
• Create and distribute campus ID cards.
• Afford various system setups and administrative support.
• Support transportation coordination and departmental communications.
• Run campus errands and provide operational assistance to the FDM division.
• Afford special events, move-ins, orientations, and other campus support needs.
• Perform related duties as assigned to support departmental operations.

• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing operational needs.
• Ability to work flexible hours and substitute for other drivers if necessary.
• Comfortable working with a diverse, creative, and dynamic campus community.
• Basic administrative and computer skills preferred.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience transporting groups of passengers preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of Customer service experience Administrative support experience preferred.
• Possession of a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement.
