Call Center Patient Access Rep

Temporary 3-month contract position based in Houston, TX 77024.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay

• $16.25 per hour

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and input necessary information accurately and efficiently into the system.
• Collect and enter demographic, insurance, and financial data with a high level of accuracy.
• Clearly explain required forms and obtain necessary patient or guarantor signatures.
• Ensure compliance with medical necessity regulations, establish payment arrangements, and screen patients for eligibility.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; complete all authorizations and notifications within required timeframes.
• Post payments in the system and generate appropriate receipts for patients.
• Review and resolve patient account issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain effective communication with physicians, staff, insurance companies, patients, and families.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of current experience in a call-center setting.
• Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient typing and keyboarding skills.
• Current TB Skin Test or Chest X-ray (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
