California Licensed Litigation Attorney

About the role

Take control of your caseload — and your calendar. Latitude Legal’s law firm client is looking for California-licensed attorneys with civil litigation experience who want work from home flexibility. This role is built for litigators who know their way around discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, and trial prep, and who bring subject-matter depth in one or more of the following: commercial/business litigation, labor and employment, personal injury, premises liability, environmental/toxic tort, or mass tort.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload and schedule
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Prepare and present evidence in support of motions and arguments
• Conduct and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials
• Manage discovery requests and responses
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop and implement strategies

Requirements

• 4+ years of litigation experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Active California law license
• Strong academic credentials
• Outstanding professional references

Qualifications

• Subject-matter depth in one or more of the following areas: commercial/business litigation, labor and employment, personal injury, premises liability, environmental/toxic tort, or mass tort

Pay

The annualized compensation for this position ranges from $175,000 to $205,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay is based on numerous factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials and location. In addition to salary, Latitude Engaged Professionals are W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week, including a Qualified 401k plan. Benefits-eligible Latitude employees receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D and professional liability insurance. Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
